I’ve been seeing posts of the national shows and I’m feeling a bit jealous that I couldn’t come. So instead, let’s enjoy a recap of the Puget Sound Dahlia Association show from a week ago.

What a weekend at the huge Puget Sound Dahlia Association show! 🌸 There were SO many gorgeous dahlias and so many people coming out to enjoy them today.

I didn’t come home with any awards this time, but I did get lots of sweet compliments on my flower dress entry (1st pic), which definitely made my day. Thank you Kale Lane Dahlias for taking the pic. 🥰🌼

I also had the honor of helping put together the flower wall with Anne Maria. Thank goodness we were able to snap a photo shortly after we finished (2nd photo) because we couldn’t get one today! 😂 It was such a hit that people were lining up to take photos in front of it. 💐📸

I may or may not have squealed a little when I saw this seedling today. 😜🌱

Miss Prissy has always been one of my favorite varieties. I lost it years ago, and every time I’ve found another, it has shown signs of virus, so I’ve ended up pulling it. I haven’t been able to find a healthy one since.

So you can imagine my excitement when I spotted this one. A bit of that Miss Prissy charm and in the color I naturally gravitate toward most. It felt like a pretty special find. 💕

Now the goal is simply to keep this little one healthy and get it through the winter. I guess I’m taking cutting this late in the season. 😂
