We are always behind on our garden due to being busy selling tomato plants and the end of the school year happening right around the same time (we work at an elementary school). But we finally have all tomatoes, peppers, and cabbage in the ground and everything surrounded by w**d barrier and munched underneath with hay. I despise w**ding, so I do everything I can to prevent w**ds in the first place. Yes, I'm introducing w**d seeds from the hay into my garden. Do I care? No, because I will keep using the w**d barrier and hay mulch every year. I will hardly find a w**d in this section of the garden until early Fall, if then. Our corn rows are half planted and just about an inch or so tall. I will plant the rest of my corn in a few days. I will till and hill up the dirt in the corn a few times over the next few weeks and that will take care of any w**ds in the rest of the garden. Once the corn gets high, theres not much use in worrying about w**ds anymore and they shade the w**ds out. I do still have to add some squash hills in here somewhere and they'll be munched with hay as well. This is the first year I haven't grown any beans in a long time.

We still have tomato plants available! $5/plant. If you buy six or more, they're $4/plant. You'll have a hard time finding these old, heirloom varieties anywhere else. We save seeds and grow these same tomatoes ourselves every year. If they're not big, delicious tomatoes, we won't grow them or sell them to others. You'll not be disappointed. Quantities are getting limited on many of these. Get them while you can. Message before coming if interested. Located in Partridge, KY.

10 more chicks hatched out. All BBS (Black, Blue, Splash) Marans. Trying to renew our flock. I had intentions of selling these, but my little girl is not going to let me part with these, especially the Splash (white) chicks. I'm goingvto set another incubator this weekend though, and those will be sold after they hatch.
