Was anyone here a long time ago when I was babysitting my nephew, Waylon, and took him through the car wash strapped into his car seat in the backseat where I couldn’t reach him and literally traumatized him for life?! Trying to do better with my grandkids! 😅😅😅 I hyped them up about the car wash and then let them choose if they wanted to go with me. Jack said absolutely not, but Dawson wanted to go be brave!💪 He did so good! Ashton Thomson

I had the absolute BEST birthday anyone could ever hope for yesterday! Joe built me garden boxes and planted and worked in the yard for me all weekend, then I woke up to birthday banners in the kitchen and all my favorite treats! My kids hung out with us all day, my parents and my sisters came down with all their grandkids and of course my favorite redheads (one of which is BLONDE now!!) and my sweet niece all came and partied hard all day! hand-painted me the most beautiful card with the most beautiful message inside!!!! and cleaned all my floors for me while I was out in my garden. 🥹🥹🥹 My mom got me a gorgeous pink climbing rose for the entrance of my garden. 🩷 West and Waylon picked out a “diamond” S ring for me all on their own and my sisters grandkids made me the cutest homemade gifts! Everyone brought me beautiful plants and my sister even brought me a pot of succulents, one of each kind from her garden!🥹 spoiled me rotten with the cutest gifts including chicken Pickleball paddles!! 😅 Ashton made me the most sentimental video you could ever imagine (posted this morning). All of you sent hundreds of the sweetest birthday messages ever! I literally could not have asked for a better birthday. THANK YOU to everyone that made it so special!!!! 😭🥹🩷

This little girl that I used to be turned 48 years old today. How in the hell does a half of a century go by in the blink of an eye?! This little girl in the doily collar with a pink ribbon now has grandkids! This little girl with the spectacular home-cut bangs and feathered sideburns has been married to the love of her life for almost 30 years. This little girl has had 48 amazing years of trying, crying, loving, learning, failing, succeeding, growing, exploring, hurting, healing, and creating. Life is sad. Life is happy. Life is hard. Life is beautiful! ❤️ Thank you God for 48 years of it!!!! 🎂
