My herb garden is looking good! The new bed I started on the other side of the steps is coming along nicely too, though I am forever locked in a battle with whatever climbing flower was previously planted there as well as an excess of daylilies 😩

For anyone who expressed interest in the Lilac plants, I will have those available soon and will make a post when they are ready!

Almost all of my chicken runs succumbed to the heavy snowstorm we had last week! I have a lot of work to do when the snow melts 😅

That said, I'm also looking to rehome a few chickens, especially as I won't have enough run space for them all until things melt and dry out.

First up is a couple that must go together - "Big Mans" (barred rock rooster) and his Ayam Cemani girlfriend. I had most of my Ayam breeding pen wiped out from predators the past couple years, so I'll be moving away from this amazing breed. Big Mans is a very good roo to his girl, and a perfect gentleman with me, but he does not seem to like men. The Cemani girl is lovely and friendly and is laying.

Next up we have my very handsome Ayam Cemani boy "Bakti" who is a hard-fought survivor. He is the sole survivor of a weasel attack and has seen his fair share of rough winters. He has red leakage in his comb and isn't great for breeding with, but he is fine if you just want pet quality Ayam Cemani, or if you don't care about breeding! He is skittish around people and aggressive with other roosters, but I've never had him attack me.

Not pictured is another Ayam Cemani rooster named "Lady" who has better black coloring, but who didn't want to cooperate for photos this morning!

Lastly I have 5 or 6 interesting little chicks available. I believe they are silkie x serama crosses - check out those feathered feet! I have no idea what they will grow out to look like, so I'd love to see photos as they grow up!

Good morning!

It's been a bit of a rough garden season -
So, we've decided the farmstand will close for the season starting today!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported us.

We will be opening occasionally in the coming weeks to offer baked goods and homemade crafts, so keep an eye on our page to be alerted when that happens!

Lilacs and potted plants will be offered again in the spring!

Good morning!

We're open today from 9 AM to 8 PM!

✨️✨️✨️
These past couple weeks I've been working on preparing for next year - creating new gardens, expanding existing ones, amending soils and building garden and chicken structures, etc.

This year has been tough with the rain and odd weather. Having only previously gardened during the drought years, I certainly wasn't prepared but definitely have learned a lot! While we don't have much of a vegetable harvest this year, we will be working hard to make next year more bountiful.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our little farm and farmstand so far! Baked goods will return soon, and we will be taking orders in the fall once the stand closes for the season.

📢We are always looking to support other local farmers, bakers, crafters, and hobbyists📢
- if anyone is interested in selling their goods at the stand, please contact us, and we'd be more than happy to work something out! We will also be adding a board soon for local businesses and events to post flyers and cards.

If you have any ideas for future produce or products you would like to see offered, please comment down below. Our goal is to create a space FOR the local community, and that means making what YOU want available!
