The girls have apparently decided it is TOO DANG HOT to be working overtime. 😂🐔☀️

They want to lay around the water areas or run through the sprinkler with the toddler to stay cool. 9/10 toddler has a snack and is dropping bits here and there.

Egg production has slowed down quite a bit with this Alabama heat, but the Chick-Inn Express still has 2 dozen farm-fresh eggs ready to go! 🥚❤️

What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than bringing home 4 more little peepers? 🐥😂

Welcome our newest additions to the flock — Ameraucanas! 💙🥚 These sweet little babies will hopefully grow up to give us those beautiful blue and green eggs we all love.

Because apparently around here, “just a few chickens” is a phrase with absolutely no meaning. 😅🐔

🥚🐔 Egg Update from Chick-Inn Express! 🐔🥚

The girls have been busy! This basket represents just 3 days’ worth of eggs, even with all the coop improvements, run expansions, and Judy taking a break from laying duties while she sits on a clutch of eggs and dreams of motherhood. ❤️

We will have fresh farm eggs available this week!

🐔🤎 Chick-Inn Express Farm Update! 🤎🐔

Well, it’s been a little while since we’ve checked in, so here’s what’s been happening around the farm!

We’ve spent the past couple of months making improvements for our feathered ladies. The coop and run have been getting some upgrades, expansions, and a little extra TLC to keep everyone happy and comfortable. The girls are also enjoying their brand-new nesting boxes, which have been a huge hit!

In other exciting news… Judy has decided she wants to be a mama! 🥚🐣

She has officially gone broody and is currently sitting on a clutch of eggs. She’s taking her job very seriously and gives us “the look” anytime we get too close. 😆 We can’t wait to see if she ends up with a few little peepers running around behind her in a few weeks!
