Back in 2007, we started out this little venture as a way for our 14-year-old son Dan to make some money during the summer. With some advice and free labor from his parents, Dan planted some veggies in the small plot across the street and he and Warren built the original stand with a chassis of a 1934 Ford Model B that was found in our barn. The venture was a success and Dan’s Veggies and Camp Woo

d was born! The stand and planting fields were expanded to accommodate the growing business. In 2009, Warren and Dan built the Sugarhouse on the property, continuing a 5-generation tradition of making maple syrup, maple cream and maple candy and called it Poplar Mountain Maple. Dan continued to sell veggies and maple syrup with Mom and Dad helping until 2012, when Dan graduated from FCTS and began his career as a Metal Fabricator. Dan is now married and lives in Wendell but he still “sugars” and is part of the Poplar Mountain Maple business. As for the Farm Stand, Warren and Jacquie decided to continue with the family business and keep the name as “Dan’s Veggies” as a reminder that working together as a family reaps its rewards! So, the tradition of growing vegetables and making maple syrup, candy, and cream to sell at the roadside continues today with Warren and Jacquelyn Boyden as the owners and farmers. We plant about 6 acres of land for the vegetable stand, all from direct seed or plants we have grown in our greenhouse so that means that ALL our vegetables are grown here at our farm. The sap for the Maple Syrup comes from our trees in Erving, Dan’s trees in Wendell and Friends trees in Leverett. We offer high quality fresh vegetables, camp wood and maple syrup at reasonable prices.

We still have a decent selection of regular tomatoes. Mostly beef steak red and plum. Five dollars for a six pack or 2 6 packs for eight dollars.

Beautiful day for the farmers market! Come see me at the Great Falls farmers market in in Turner Falls. Located on Avenue A. We will have the last of our pepper,, tomato,, cucumbers, squash plants. We have asparagus. Maple syrup and popcorn. We will be there from 9 AM to 1 PM.
