Things are moving forward for The Bread Underground. We’re leaning into an organic-focused, specialty store presence — placing our breads only where the ethos matches ours: organic, fresh, and uncompromising.

This week we’re dropping samples at a few more specialty markets in San Diego. Next up are a couple carefully chosen specialty stores in Orange County and Los Angeles. Once those are in place, we’ll have the right network of partners — and that will be enough.

The goal has always been fewer shelves, but the right shelves.

We’re thrilled to finally share some big news: you can now find our breads fresh daily at Cardiff Seaside Market!

Seaside is one of the most beloved markets in the area — family-owned, community-driven, and just as obsessed with quality as we are. We couldn’t imagine a better partner.

To kick things off, we’ll be there tomorrow (7/22, 11–5) sampling breads and meeting everyone. Come by, say hi, and try a bite! You’ll find minis of our most popular sourdoughs, English muffins, and baguettes on the shelf — with full loaves and more coming soon.

We’re starting slow and ramping up fast, so if you live nearby, stop in and grab some! And if you notice they’ve sold out, just let us know — we’ll keep the shelves full.

Thanks for supporting us and other small makers by shopping at this gem of a market. Cardiff, let’s do this!

We’ve been delivering our sourdough to Carlsbad Ranch Market for just a couple of weeks, and the response has been incredible — thank you for clearing those shelves and showing your support.

We have a ton of organic classic sourdough bread for half off for today only..ONLY $5 a loaf!!!! Each loaf weighs a kilo and was made Sunday morning so it is still fresh! We sell at the local farmers markets and Fathers day weekend was slow and it was super hot.... Anyway come by my house and pick up. I'm here all day and early evening night. I will post here when its all gone.
