Precious Cargo has arrived from IN! We are SO excited to finally be able to AI some of our does. We just haven’t had the time (and confidence) to jump into the AI world. We wanna thank Danika James at Alpine Creek Ranch for their help and allowing us to participate in her AI day this weekend! So Giddy and ready for new genetics!
We are proud of Delaney Barnes. She is a long time showman of ours. Delaney has a Doe who won reserve championship heavyweight and a Wether who won reserve champion light weight. She also won 1st in senior 4-h master showmanship. Congratulations Delaney!

Congratulations to Delaney Barnes! She took Champion Heavy weight market Goat with a another Stone baby! She also received first place for 4-H market goat showmen. She gets to compete in Master Showmanship here at San Diego Fair!
Today the 3 scholarship goats go through auction! The money made today will go back into the scholarship fund for future generations of showmen. Thank you to all who have donated to make this possible. Thank you for keeping her legacy alive!
We are excited to have you all in tomorrow! It will be very busy and parking will be a challenge so carpool as much as you can. We will mark appropriate parking areas so please look for those. The doors open at 4pm and dinner will be ready at 6pm. The night is intended to be very causal, relaxed, and fun. We have a BBQ dinner planned, music, fun games, and a fire pit to enjoy for the evening. Come and go. Stay for as long or as little as you want. We will have an area that will showcase my mother as well as the 'Mama' Lisa Memorial Scholarship. Where donations can be made. Thank you all for your love and support. Can't wait to see you all. 💜

Our hearts are broken. Our mother, as well as the heart and soul of J&S Livestock passed away this morning. Her battle with cancer did not stop her from being involved with the business and hard work of raising Boer goats. When things started to get rough, she still came down in her wheelchair to birth goats and pull the stuck ones as that was her role having the smallest arm. The industry will miss Lisa Noonan Schmitt and her legacy will continue with a foundation created to provide scholarship opportunities for young exhibitors who may have financial hardships that keep them from raising livestock. We encourage you all to help us start that program by donating towards the cause instead of sending flowers. Love you all and thank you for you continuous support.
I am thinking of selling one of our Ducante Sons as a buck. He is massive and gorgeous but I little too big for shows around here. He would do great for May fair. Is anyone on here wanting a buck? He is mostly red, dehorned, and could be registered at 50% only because I don't have the papers for his mother who I know for a fact is registrable. I am rambling now. Just putting feelers out there before I castrate him. I'll post pictures soon but let me know if you are interested.
Sorry we haven't posted in a while! Been a bit crazy with starting Student teaching and Mom in the hospital. Some of the goats will be ready in a few weeks to go to their new homes. Those of you who have already put in your Deposits... start getting ready! As of February 12th we will start making arrangements for you to come pick your next project!
When you date a Schmitt girl, you automatically get wrangled into the goat world. Cory and Matt are such great help around the farm. From feeding to repairs, we appreciate their role in the business. Thank you guys for all your help. We love you!!
Long time no see!! We have been crazy busy, so my apologies for not posting a lot. Right now we have 14 babies on the ground and more to come. I will take more photos tomorrow but I wanted to give you a sneak peak of one of my favorite. This is Piper. I am completely in love with her. She may be small but she is fierce! Square, compact, and WIDE! Pictures don't do her justice. She is currently on my keeper pen list. Her brother is pretty cool too. Honey makes some beautiful babies!!!! We are still accepting Deposits!!!
