Mark your calendars: Terra Madre, the Slow Food Movement's semi-annual gathering of world-wide growers, producers and supporters, makes its Sacramento debut September 26-28.

Slow Food's decision to hold its first signature event outside of Italy in Sacramento is a testament to the passion, innovation, and transparency that our community of farmers, chefs, bakers, brewers and home cooks bring to our tables- locally, nationally, and around the world.

We plan to be among the exhibitors celebrating our region's leadership in the Farm to Fork movement. Come learn, see and taste what makes local, independent food producers so exceptional.

Terra Madre Americas is making its delicious debut in Sacramento! Busman’s Holiday for a miller.

I’ve been attending the Organic Seed Alliance Conference in Corvallis, OR since Thursday. The community of passionate & visionary farmers, breeders, and food sovereignty advocates has been a balm and antidote for the outrage and shame I’m feeling for our misguided political leadership. At the same time, the concerns and challenges that conference participants are tackling offer critical insights into what’s driving my neighbors and compatriots to choose to be governed by ignorant demagogues.

I’ve been blown away by the thoughtfulness, passion, professionalism and vision of everyone I met at the conference, including many friends from past grain events.
