Little man, aka Volente went to be gelded this morning but had a mild temperature stepping off the trailer. More than likely from still holding on to his winter fluff and having a warm trailer ride. Due to clinic policy though we had to either bring him back another day (and risk the same thing happening) or leave him over night to let his temp go back to normal, and have him gelded in the morning. We opted to leave him over night so hopefully by tomorrow morning he'll be a gelding!
The choice to geld a stud prospect is not something we take lightly. However, keeping a c**t a stud is also not a small matter to consider. Current life circumstances make owning a stallion a challenge, as well as some minor conformational flaws led us to this decision. We truly believe he'll be much happier as a show gelding and kids pony 💜

Breezy, now called Harlow with her new family, is a momma for the first time 💜 she had her strapping c**t yesterday in the early morning hours! A handsome black and white tobiano with 2 blue eyes! Sounds like she's being a wonderf weul mom, can't wait to meet him next weekend!

We've had a lot going on lately! Time for a long over due update...
Boni delivered her beautiful buckskin tobiano filly by Maverick on March 7th! Unfortunately baby was a dummy foal and Boni colicked shortly after, but with some intensive veterinary care, both are happy and healthy! We have named her Sutter Creek Liberty Bell aka Libby!
On April 6th, April delivered her bay tobiano filly (with one blue eye!) by PFR Mandarin Aquillion! Both momma and baby are happy and stable. Her name will be Sutter Creek Wishful Fantasy aka Wish!

Snow day on the farm! April needs a sign that said "wide load" and Falyn needs a sign that says "hot mess" since she's having a blast rolling in the snow and then rubbing it off on stuff and turning her mane into a tornado 😂 Volente isn't so sure about the "white stuff." (Yes I noticed the twine right after I took the pic and removed it🙄) And of course the dogs had fun playing in the snow too!
