Buck Introduction: Be Well MM Brach Tuarach *B
Nicknames: Brach (Brock) or Broccoli 🥦 😆

✨ A pedigree worth getting excited about!
Brach brings together some beautiful genetics, including:
Sire: Be Well KG Molten Macadamia *B
SD: Hetlandcreek GQ Haleakala 7*M VVEV86 @07-01 (6th lactation)
SS: Lil Miss B Haven GC Kona Gold *B
Dam: Gotta B Kid N Almas 2*M GVEG85 @07-05 (7th lactation)
DD: Gotta B Kid N Ossetra 1*M VEVE89 @03-02
DS: Castle Rock Pineapple Express +*B

When my friend, Brittany at Be Well Farmstead presented me with the opportunity to bring Brach into our herd, I couldn’t say no. Brach has some of my most favorite genetic lines. Milk ✅ Good legs ✅ Good rumps checkmark ✅. His flashy moonspots are only a bonus. If you recognize the bottom off of his pedigree, is maternal half sister is our doe Here B Goats AR Black Diamond, who has proven she is a heck of a milker with no will to quit as a FF at barely 2 years old, with a FF LA score of GVVV86. Diamond’s daughter even took 5th place in the junior class at Nationals this year. 🥳

Brach’s pedigree combines some amazing animals, making him an exciting young buck to watch as he matures. We’re looking forward to seeing how this young man develops and what the future holds for him! 🐐💚

A very late, but more formal post for Mountain Pines PB Blue Jeans AKA “Geno"

Geno is a buck we selected very intentionally, and for us, the appeal is all about the genetics behind him and the traits represented in the does behind him.

Dam: CH Mountain Pines GB Bluebelle VEVE88 @ 02-08. Bluebelle had many wonderful noted scores during her LA session when she was appraised, including a rear udder height score of 41 as well as a rump width of 42. Although Bluebelle hasn't been on milk test, her breeder was kind enough to track her lactations and milk weights for us to ensure that she can put enough milk in the pail on twice daily milking. These are all components we like to see in a buck's dam.

DD: Kickapoo Creek HP Raggedy Ann (Brings in Alethia genetics, including Alethia V Hall Pass, a son of SGCH Alethia M Dew Lee Noted 6*M VEEE91 and Wood Bridge Farm Valedictorian.)
DS: Mountain Pines CRT Gold Dust

Sire: Drewem BM Plowboy GAA77 @ 01-06

Plowboy has been known to add bone and depth to the kids he has produced so far.

SS: Top Shelf J Best Man (son of GCH Top Shelf SMR She's The Best *M EX90!)
DS: GCH 3G Family Farm FarmersDaughter 5*M VEEE90

I really think Geno's pedigree speaks for itself. Having these kinds of does represented on both sides of Geno's pedigree is what made him especially interesting to us. Our goal is to use him to help stack and strengthen the traits we're working toward in our does- stronger rumps, increased rear udder height, better shoulder structure, and greater capacity, while continuing to build on the qualities already present in our herd. For us, this is the fun part of breeding: studying the pedigree, identifying the traits we want, and putting the pieces together with purpose.

Welcome to Harman Valley Farm, Geno. 💙

We’re excited to introduce TUA Farms EL Hot Pepper Honey, who has been joining us here at Harman Valley Farm on lease from our friend at Monkey Hill Farm! Pepper’s pedigree brings together some truly exciting genetics that we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with.

🌟 His dam:
GCH TUA Farms Song of the Honeybee 7*M EEEV91 — one of Monkey Hill Farm’s longtime favorites. She is a beautiful doe with a strong, straight back and a beautiful udder and attachments. Her pedigree and production are exactly the kind of foundation we love seeing behind a buck.

🌟 His sire:
*Ilenesrascals SD Elipse B — a son of Agape’s Prize Saint Dismus +*B (ELITE). His dam is SGCH Old Mountain Farm Merriment, the 2017 ADGA National Champion and Best Udder.

And the pedigree gets even more exciting from there — Merriment is a maternal sibling to Agape’s Prize French Quarter, the 2022 and 2025 ADGA National Champion & Best Udder, EEEE92. His pedigree also includes a 2nd-place Get of Sire at the 2025 ADGA Nationals.

That is a whole lot of potential packed into one very handsome package. 😍 We’re excited to see what Pepper contributes to our herd as we work toward our goals of improving dairy strength, capacity, structure, mammary systems, and overall functionality while maintaining the traits we love in our does.

A huge thank you to our friends at Monkey Hill Farm for trusting us with this boy and allowing him to spend some time at Harman Valley Farm! We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this handsome guy. 🐐❤️

Hanson Hideaway Dove Promises
(GCH Cedar View Hudson +*B VEE91 X GCH Hanson Hideaway JF Mars 3*M GVVG84)

I never spent the time to explain what happened to us last winter. Something I never thought would happen to us… Cryptosporidium.

Most of our kids were 2-4 weeks old when it hit. Thankfully, we have a separate barn where we house our kids from our primary barn, so the infection was isolated. We worked diligently with our veterinarian and our goats were under strict quarantine and biosecurity measures were set in place. Despite our efforts, one kid had to be euthanized.

Eventually kids improved and I gave them to new homes (yes, GAVE them away). Why did I give them away? Because given the trauma of it all, I just wanted them to find loving homes and money wasn’t a factor. It was a huge loss on our part, genetically and financially.

As time went by, there was one kid I swore I’d never let go. She has been a favorite since I brought her home- my little Dove. Dove eventually made a full recovery where she was cleared to be shown. Our show prep sessions were kept incredibly short and when it came time, Dove was a natural and placed in the top of her classes.

Dove and the rest of our herd continues to do well today. 🙏🏻💞🖤🤍
