We got the Grant!
ZD Farms with Washington State University applied for a Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) grant to do a study on deep drip irrigation on our hazelnut trees. We won the grant through the competitive process and will begin the work in July of this year. It's a 3-year project where we test deep drip methods along side normal drip irrigation to determine the water use and impact on the growing of hazelnut trees.

We are excited to be given this chance to work with Washington State and evaluate a new method of irrigation for improving our water usage and enhancing the growth of our trees.

Stay tuned for more as this project progresses.
