As temperatures drop and the National Weather Service forecasts extreme cold for Louisiana and beyond in the coming days, we remind pet and livestock owners to take extra precautions to keep animals safe.

***BREAKING NEWS*** Due to the coming cold weather ice and snow there will be NO farms closed.

Each and every farmer will be out in the blistering cold, ice and wind tending their livestock.

We will be cranking tractors, putting out feed and hay, breaking ice off of ponds and water tanks and praying for warm healthy livestock.

If you know a farmer, or if you ate yesterday and plan to eat today, Thank and pray for all our farmers.

Windy Hills Farm is now closed for the 2025 season. We thank all of you who came out and supported us and allowed us to be part of your Christmas traditions. It means so much to us. We also want to thank our hard working crew of guys and gals who did whatever needed doing. We couldn’t do it without you! We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and happy healthy New Year! See you in 2026!

🌲Confession time…..even your Christmas tree farmer does not have a tree up yet! 😅
If you’re like us and still haven’t picked out your Christmas tree, don’t worry—there’s still time! This is our last weekend of tree sales and we’ve still got plenty of trees waiting to make themselves at home in your living room.
Grab your family, load up and come find your tree before it’s too late.🌲⭐️
We’ll have hot cocoa, good cheer and plenty of Christmas spirit( even if our own tree is still out in the field!)
We’ve got some gorgeous wreaths and garland,too!

Windy Hills Farm will be open Saturday December 13 from 10 am-5 pm for sure. Rain is forecast for Sunday so unsure about Sunday hours

TREE-MINDERS!
✂️ Fresh Cut for Water Absorption: make sure to get a fresh cut on your tree and get in water as soon as possible. If not putting up right away, make sure to give it a fresh cut at home!
💧 Water, Water, Water! Trees drink a lot, especially in the first day or two. Keep your water bowl full and the base of the trunk submerged at all times.
❄️ Stay Cool: Keep your tree away from radiators, fireplaces, and direct sunlight to slow the drying process.
🎄Have you heard about adding lemonade, sugar, or aspirin to your Christmas Tree’s water bowl? There’s no scientific evidence to support this. Water is all your tree needs to stay healthy!
