We have one on our elderberry farm! It's a butternut tree.

Pursuing a master's degree at UVA in environmental sciences, Mia Murray examined our farm's butternut tree in Central Virginia to assess the wild population and understand the disease severity. Then she'll collect samples for genetic sequencing to differentiate between pure butternuts and hybrids.
