🥩 NEWS FROM THE USDA: If you see this logo on your meat, poultry, or egg products—it means the animal was born, raised, harvested, and processed in America. Foreign producers can no longer take advantage of loopholes and falsify where their products are coming from.

The “Product of USA” label is a voluntary claim that may be used only on meat, poultry, and egg products derived from animals born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States. Use of the label must accurately reflect product origin and must not be false or misleading.

All messaging and graphics must support clear, truthful consumer understanding and must not imply claims beyond the defined standard. Producers are responsible for maintaining documentation to support the claim, and all usage must remain consistent with USDA requirements.

Big News from Honeybee Tennessee!

We’re excited to announce updates to the Honeybee Tennessee Scholarship, which supports students pursuing degrees in agriculture across Tennessee.

Thanks to an overwhelming response last year, we received a high volume of applications and were able to fill every available scholarship slot. Because of this success, we’re continuing and expanding our support for Tennessee agriculture students.

What’s changed:

-The scholarship amount has increased from $1,000 per semester to $2,000 per semester
($2,000 per year to $4,000 per year)

-The application deadline is now March 31, 2026

-The scholarship announcement date is May 1, 2026

-Two additional universities have been added: Austin Peay State University and Tennessee Technological University

Here is a list of our current eligible schools:

Middle Tennessee State University

Tennessee State University

University of Tennessee, Martin

University of Tennessee, Knoxville

Austin Peay State University

Tennessee Technological University

Applications are now open. We are selecting two students from each college. And did we mention that we still don’t require an essay?!
