Time for our big news!!! We bought a large piece of property out south of Baldwin city 🎉 It’s bittersweet as I always assumed we would live out our days on my family’s farm in our current house. I moved right next door to my grandparents old house when I left my parents home. I’ve always lived on the same road in the same town my whole life! But life happens as they say and we stumbled upon this great opportunity to own more land than I had ever dreamed of. We are currently building our home which is beyond exciting and installing lots and lots of fence which is not! 🤣 We won’t be moving that far away and will have way more room for our growing herd ❤️ I will make updates as we build and make this place our own. Hope our new neighbors will enjoy our hairy creatures as much as we do 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

My farmhand bought me 3 new heifers!! I would like to introduce everyone to Paris, Maple, and Lola. We are working on gaining their trust, but I know we will make friends!

We’ve had lots going on behind the scenes at Sunflower State Highlands the last couple months. I haven’t had much time for pictures and posts. We have some very exciting things happening and I can’t wait to share. Stay tuned!!!!!!

He’s not a real bull but we got creative with our farm Halloween display this year.

I cannot say enough positive things about our first hoofing trimming experience with Marshall Livestock services! Adam came to our farm and hooked right up to our working facility. His chute is so nice and a perfect set up for horned animals. He is so good with the animals too. He was patient and allowed them slowly smell and walk themselves into the chute. No broken horns which was my fear. I didn’t get before and after photos but we have a steer that was the product of bad breeding. He doesn’t move real well and his hooves were in bad shape, very long. He took such care with our special guy and he’s already moving better. If you have need of hoof trimming for your cattle, especially the horned ones, look no further. Contact Marshall Livestock Services and get added to his schedule!
