I looooooove rendering tallow.

For Cooking Tallow, it’s SO SIMPLE:

Step 1: go to your local meat locker and ask for beef suet, better yet, ask for it to be ground up for you

Step 2: store in your freezer till you’re ready to use it

Step 3: put it (frozen) in your crock pot or roaster on high, put the lid on sideways if you have a rubber sealing lid (don’t trap moisture!!) and wait a couple hours

Step 4: use a ladle to pour into your container through a strainer and cheese cloth

You did it!! 👏🏻 Let it cool to room temp with the lid ajar (again…do NOT TRAP MOISTURE IN THERE!)
