Happy Friday!!! Piglets have done great, they are chunky, ornery, and colorful! I’m really pleased with this group. They are gentle and friendly like their momma, and big b***d liked their daddy. Would be a great addition to any home or pasture! They will be ready to roll out of here 2 weeks from Sunday.

She tried to hold them as long as she could. She didn’t have milk all weekend until this morning, so me and momma decided she needed to go to the shop! 6 healthy warm piglets, 4 gilts and 2 boarlings. She had a bit of a suprise for us with an all white gilt! We’ve only ever not sold 1 piglet, so message us now and reserve yours!! They’ll be ready at the end of March.

Side note, this was not a planned breeding Kahlani came into heat and a boar we were saving for the freezer broke through the fence 🫠. Neither are registered since we only kept Kahlani because she literally went everywhere with me and momma. And the male was kept with other ideas. Both are 100% KuneKune, and this is litter is going to be some really nice pigs!

Got lucky today in Marietta at the Red River Bantam Club show. In the open In the first show I had Champ and Res RCCL the white went on to get 3rd best over all of the first show out of close to 650 birds.

Boog won second in showmanship and won 5th best overall of the first show with his Black OE P

Bub had champion RCCL with a black wyandotte K and Boog had Reserve RCCL with a black rosecomb P in the second show.

Newcastle poultry double show 2025

The start of our fourth year showing, and boy have we come a long way since walking through those barn doors in 2022. We’ve met some good people, and made new friends along the way!

Bub and Boog in the first show struck out only placing a few birds. In the second show Boog struck out again with only a few placements. Bub however held down the fort in the second show winning the RESERVE AND CHAMP RCCL and went on to win Reserve Junior Bantam of the show.

In the open show it was a good class for the RCCL. Quite a few nice birds. I ended up winning champion RCCL in the first show with a black hen, and won both Reserve and Champion RCCL in the second show with a white pullet and a white hen. I was pumped about these wins cause I got by some really slick black rosecomb which has been my Achilles heel.
