Hey! We have a CSA Working Member volunteer opening on Thursdays 8:30-12:30 through October at Camas Swale Farm in Coburg, OR.

It's a trade position that is important to the farm and requires ability to harvest produce in all weather conditions. In return working members receive a full size CSA Crop Share plus extras as available and training. This is a four hour weekly commitment with a small group of committed volunteers working along side our experienced staff. Its a very friendly, inclusive and hard working group.

We grow hundreds of varieties of certified organic vegetables in a commercial but family friendly environment. Eating what you harvest is fulfilling, but the people are what make the work extra fulfilling!

We get all excited about supurrrbly delicious summer crops whilst pawing through seed catalogues. Seed catalogs are a farmer’s Travel magazine equivalent, swooping us away to warmer more colorful times ahead. Also — introducing Lulu our farm and family cat pictured here with the catalogues. Loving them as much as we do! But honestly just glad to get all the orders in at last despite a couple of side tracks including deconstructing two greenhouses that collapsed in the ice storm. The early seed orders are now IN , greenhouse parts are ordered/salvaged/found and we’re poised to rebuild and seed as usual , and grateful for the neighboring commercial nurseries that can help us out with table space if needed in the interim! Hope other Oregon growers are over the hardest part of that storm and all your paws can have a rest too! 🐾

Happy new year! We aren’t quite done with our winter rest mode here on the farm but the sparks of 2024 are going off as we finalize our tater orders and make a few investments into next season. Giving thanks for all of our super staff, volunteers, our kiddos and their vibe control and all of the grocers, chefs, and CSA customers who support the farm. There are so many and we couldn’t do it without you. Let’s grow 2024! .market

We celebrated the season at our annual CSA and Friends potluck on the farm this weekend. So much fun, connection, good food, and dancing to the Muddy Souls. Auntie Sophie lead our children and their friends in a sing a long. No regrets putting in a little extra after a big week on the farm, so much winter squash hot peppers and tomatoes brought in this week but that deserves its own post! Thank you to all the party contributors who farm@every day, and those that cleaned, decorated, cooked, taught yoga ( ) , painted with children, danced, and performed ( , ) 🎶 ❤️ 🥕 Chocolate beet cake and tomato topped focaccia for the win!
