Something has been on our hearts as Louisiana’s Creole Corner gets closer to opening. ⚜️

We’ve talked a lot about what we’re bringing into the Corner.

But there may be something even more important that we want to help bring back.

A language some of us grew up hearing.
A language some of our grandparents and great-grandparents spoke.
A language some of us recognize—but were never taught.

And a language an entirely new generation deserves the opportunity to hear.

Louisiana Creole. Kouri-Vini.

We’ve been working on an idea. 🌳

We’re not quite ready to tell you everything yet…

But if you grew up hearing Creole—or if you’ve always wanted to learn it—we want to hear from you.

⚜️ WE WANT LOUISIANA ON OUR SHELVES

There’s still work happening behind these doors, but while we’re building the store, we’re also thinking about what will fill the shelves. And we want Louisiana on them.❤️

Louisiana’s Creole Corner is looking for the farmers, growers, makers, bakers, artists and small businesses that make our communities special.

Fresh produce.
Local honey. 🍯
Cane syrup.
Jams and preserves
Seasonings and sauces.
Louisiana-made foods.
Art.
Handmade goods.
Gifts.
And those little products you find somewhere and immediately say, “Oh, I know exactly who makes this!” We want to find them.

We aren't accepting inventory just yet. Right now, we're discovering what, and WHO, is out there.

So help us out:

🚨 EUNICE… LOOK AT THIS! 👀⚜️

Y’all have been asking for an update, so here it is! 👏🏾

Walls, floors, ceilings, details… piece by piece, this little building is turning into the vision we’ve been carrying for a long time.

We’ve had some delays. We’ve had some unexpected turns. And we’ve definitely learned a few lessons along the way. 😂 But one thing we haven’t done is STOP!

Every time you pass by and wonder, “When are they opening?”— just know WE’RE WORKING ON IT! 😂😂

And baby… when those doors finally open?!
Eunice, y’all better be ready.🛒⚜️🙌🏾
