Before Gotahold was even an idea, Wendy looked for ways to merge her passion of yoga and craft beer. Finding ways to take yoga off the mat and into life, to find ways to slow down and tune in on a soul level, have a little fun and find a community of belonging.
Not the people who could do perfect handstands or have unbelievable flexibility. The ones who kept showing up after the hard day. The ones who sat with the uncomfortable stretch a little longer than felt reasonable and came out the other side knowing something they didn't know before.
You can see this in what we do at Gotahold. From the intentionality of the setting to the patience and passion of our beer tenders to the quality of our merch, music, art and, of course, beverages.
That's what "Becoming" is about. Not the dramatic version. The real version. You get to show up and find your people. You're free to be here (as long you're not being an *sshole).
The exhibit on our walls right now โ Mary Springer, Robbin Robertson, Megan Kirk โ three artists asking what transformation looks like when you finally feel safe enough to change. It's quieter than you'd expect. And more true.
If you biked this morning, or floated the river, or just drove an hour because you needed to be somewhere different โ the Beer Forest is here when you're ready.
No pretzel poses required. Just a willingness to show up.
