🐓 Rooster Round-Up Info Below – Please Read Carefully! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Before we dive in, here’s the most frequently asked question we get:
Q: “What do you do with all the birds?”
A: We re-home them. We DO NOT process poultry.
But now, let’s get into the details of this event!
Requirements:
1. Must be at least 3 months old
2. Must be large fowl
3. Must be in good health
***Space permitting, we may also accept bantams, spent hens, and other poultry, depending on the number of large fowl roosters needing homes.
We take biosecurity seriously and inspect each bird upon arrival. We reserve the right to decline any bird that may pose a health risk.
Drop-offs are by appointment only and will be held this Saturday—no exceptions. We run a large, busy farm, and this is the only day and time we can dedicate to this service. Thank you for understanding.
Rehoming Fee Information:
🐥 Purchased your birds from Happy Feet Hatchery?
There is NO rehoming fee.
One of the benefits of purchasing straight-run chicks from Happy Feet Hatchery is lifetime access to our Rooster Round-Up program at no charge should any of your chicks turn out to be roosters.
🐓 Birds NOT purchased from Happy Feet Hatchery
A $5 rehoming fee per bird will apply, regardless of the bird’s age or size. (Cash only).
This fee helps offset a portion of the costs of housing, feeding, and caring for these birds while we work to find them new homes, allowing us to continue offering this service to our community.
How to Participate:
Please message us on Facebook with the following:
1. Number of birds
2. Current photos of each bird
3. Age(s)
4. Whether your birds all get along or if anyone needs to be separated for their well-being.
5. Where the birds were purchased (Happy Feet Hatchery or another source). ** Please also acknowledge that you understand there is a $5 rehoming fee per bird if your birds were not purchased from Happy Feet Hatchery.

Important Notes:
• Space is limited, and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else.
• If demand is high, we’ll do our best to hold another Round-Up in 2–3 weeks.
We truly appreciate your cooperation and support as we continue offering this service to our community. We’ll respond to your messages as quickly as possible around our regular farm responsibilities.

If your appointment is confirmed, please ensure your birds are properly and safely contained. Dog crates, cat carriers or even medium to large size boxes work great with ventilation cut into them. Please do not provide food or water during transport, as it often spills and creates a mess. Lastly, and most importantly, for the safety of your birds, please leave them safely contained in their carriers upon arrival and wait for us to greet you before removing them. We will come to your vehicle and safely remove your birds for you. This helps prevent accidental escapes and ensures a smooth, stress-free check-in for everyone.
