Our tomato plants are in great shape RIGHT NOW, but it is going to rain this week. If you want to pick tomatoes this year, I encourage you to make a picking reservation for tomorrow. I’ll put the link in the comments. We’ll wait and see how the plants fare before deciding about next weekend.

Field report: The tomatoes are doing great. We are now picking from both our plantings. Picking is still easy and fast.

We are in our fourth week of plum tomato picking. Plum tomatoes are great for sauce, salsa, canning or freezing. At the u-picks, we will have pre-picked basil and u-pick cut flowers for sale too, while supplies last.

We are sooooo honored to be included in this month's W***y Street Co-op Reader. They wrote a lovely article about our transition out of full-time farming. While they wrote about us, the real story is about the Co-op's work to transition our crops into the hands of other farmers. We worked together on this transition - we have to keep you fed! All of us are lucky that Wisconsin has such a strong community of organic farmers. Thanks W***y Street Co-op!

Sunday picking??
So far, we have scheduled all our u-picks on Saturdays, to give you the weekend for processing. Send us an email or message if you cannot attend this Saturday (9/12) but would like to pick on Sunday (9/13). If there are unpicked sections after the Saturday pick, we will get in touch to set up a picking time on Sunday morning.  csa(at)tipiproduce(dot)com

Going forward, we MIGHT offer one more u-pick the weekend of Sept 19/20. The tomato plants are holding on remarkably well. It helps that we set up two plantings to spread out the harvests. Our strawberry season is finished. Thank you all! Everyone who visited this year was lovely. We appreciate how much you value organic produce. It was great to see so many of our former CSA members. Next up, u-pick organic tomatoes in August.

If you want to pick berries this year, don't delay. Berry season is always short! Berries ripen so quickly in warm weather. They are ready now, beautiful and fragrant in the field.
