EVANSVILLE, INDIANA — The engines are warming up, the guitars are tuning up, and Halloween is taking over! Get ready for three unforgettable days of hot rods, custom cars, vintage campers, rockabilly music, Halloween festivities, and good old-fashioned Kustom Kulture as Eville Shindig Hot Rod Kustoms & Rockabilly Weekend returns October 15, 16, and 17, 2026, at the Vanderburgh 4-H Center in Evansville, Indiana.
This isn't just another car show. Eville Shindig is a full-blown weekend Kustom Kulture experience, bringing together the people, machines, music, style, and attitude that make traditional hot rod and rockabilly culture so special. Add a generous amount of camping space, a Halloween-themed atmosphere, nighttime entertainment, and a lineup of activities for automotive enthusiasts and families alike, and you've got a fall weekend worth putting on your calendar!
From the shine of custom paint and chrome to the rumble of hot rods, the nostalgia of vintage campers, and the unmistakable sound of live rockabilly, Eville Shindig is where old-school cool meets spooky-season excitement.
HOT RODS, KUSTOMS & THE GATHERING OF THE HEARSES
Car lovers will have plenty to get excited about, with an incredible mix of show cars, traditional hot rods, custom creations, and vintage automotive style. Whether you love perfectly polished classics, wild custom builds, or the unmistakable attitude of old-school hot rod culture, there's something here for every gearhead.
One of this year's standout features is the special Gathering of the Hearses—a unique collection of these dramatic vehicles that fits right into the spooky Halloween spirit of the weekend.
The action continues with the tire-smoking Burnout Contest and the excitement of Jalopy Racing, celebrating the raw, rebellious fun of traditional automotive culture. Pin-up Girls will bring vintage glamour to the grounds, while the Swap Meet and Vendors offer opportunities to discover automotive parts, collectibles, clothing, memorabilia, and one-of-a-kind treasures.
And don't forget to explore the Vintage Market, featuring vendors and vintage finds that capture the character and nostalgia of another era.
HALLOWEEN IS TAKING OVER EVILLE SHINDIG!
Halloween isn't just an afterthought at Eville Shindig—it's part of what makes the whole weekend special!
Attendees can get into the spirit with the Halloween Costume Party on Friday night, bringing together rockabilly style, spooky characters, creative costumes, and a party atmosphere unlike an ordinary car show. Whether your look is classic horror, greaser, pin-up, monster, or something completely outrageous, this is the time to show off your Halloween spirit.
Saturday, October 17, brings even more Halloween excitement with Kids Trunk or Treat in the Vintage Camping Area. Families can bring the little ghosts and goblins out for a fun-filled Halloween experience surrounded by vintage campers and the unique atmosphere of Eville Shindig. Saturday's Vintage Market Vendors will add even more to see and explore throughout the day.
With Halloween-themed activities, vintage style, and a spooky atmosphere woven throughout the event, Eville Shindig is a destination for everyone who loves October as much as they love hot rods.
FRIDAY NIGHT ROCKABILLY PARTY — THREE GREAT PERFORMANCES!
When the sun goes down Friday, October 16, the music turns up! Eville Shindig is bringing a special night of live entertainment to the Halloween party, featuring three artists ready to deliver a memorable evening.

Dale Watson — Traditional Country with Attitude
Headlining Friday night's musical excitement is Dale Watson, the internationally recognized singer-songwriter celebrated for his authentic traditional country sound, honky-tonk spirit, and truck-driving country style.
With more than 15 albums to his credit, including Cheatin' Heart Attack and The Truckin' Sessions, Watson has built a loyal following among fans who appreciate country music with grit, heart, and a genuine connection to its roots. His career includes a British Country Music Award for Best International Artist on an Independent Label, along with recognition from country music audiences in the Netherlands.

Naomi Carmen — Kicking Off the Halloween Party
Opening Friday night's entertainment from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Naomi Carmen brings her talent to the Eville Shindig stage to get the Halloween party started.
Sebastien Bordeaux — Keeping the Party Rolling
From 10:00 PM until midnight, Sebastien Bordeaux takes over to keep the music going and Friday night's festivities rolling late into the evening.

Spend your days exploring show cars, watching the Burnout Contest and Jalopy Racing, shopping the Swap Meet and Vintage Market, meeting fellow enthusiasts, and enjoying the Halloween atmosphere. Then stick around for live music and nighttime activities.

Eville Shindig offers affordable options for day visitors, weekend guests, show-car owners, and campers.
Spectator Admission
$10 per person, per day
Daytime spectator hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
$30 weekend wristband per person, allowing entry at any time and access to nighttime activities
Show Cars & Hearses
$30 registration per vehicle
Includes the driver
Camping
$100.00 for one vintage or regular camping spot for the weekend
with purchase of Camping you also have to buy 1 wrist band at $30.00 Camping does not include wrist bands for the weekend.
Kids
Children 12 and under receive free admission
