Pretty crazy to look back to last spring when I was finishing up planting corn on this day. And now for this year we are getting snow. Mother Nature sure hasn’t made up her mind what she wants this year!

Today marks the first day of #plant21 for us. We are short a few acres shy of being done with Anhydrous due to the ground being tiled. Praying for a safe spring for all the other farmers! Also be aware of all the farmers on the road trying to get to their destinations. Stay back off their tail and they will move over when it is safe for you to pass!
A few pics of the 2020 corn crop goin in the ground
Had a full cab of help this evening to help me finish planting the 2020 corn crop!
Thankful for this awesome weather. Should finish up planting the 2020 corn tomorrow then onto finishing the beans!

We got started planting beans today along with more anhydrous put in the ground. Hopefully this week will bring more progress so we can keep rolling. Use your common sense when you see us farmers traveling down the roads. Please slow down and we’ll move over for you!
Got the spring of 2020 started on Thursday by spreading dry fertilizer on the ground then today started running anhydrous ammonia on the ground we will be planting corn in. Hoping the rain will hold off a few days so we can get to planting!
Wow is all we can say with all this rain. Picked up 2 inches of rain Sunday and now more this morning and more tonight. Not looking good for the corn we planted Saturday or the few days before that. Now it’s just a waiting game to see what had to be replanted and see how many beans we can get planted. #flooded #wedontneedallthisrain

Marx Farms would like to wish everyone a safe and happy new year!
Transferring corn from our dry holding bin to the big holding bin to make room so we can dry more corn.
Harvest 2k18 has began for us today!
It’s that time of year again folks. Watch out for moving farm equipment as we roll out for fall harvest. If u can’t see us in the drivers seat we can’t see you!
Been a little behind in posting but we’re down to the last few fields of beans. The little rain showers have helped out tremendously on the already planted fields. As long as the weather stays good we’ll finish up the planting season this weekend! #plant2k18
Just about to finish up planting corn. Should finish tomorrow and switch to beans on Monday.
Plant 2k18 is in full swing!

Well with the 7-8" of rain we consumed last night we will be shut down for a while unfortunately. Just hoping the ground we did get planted will be alright.
