Aging wastewater lagoons don't always need to be replaced. In many cases, strategic dredging and restoration can help recover treatment capacity, improve performance, and extend asset life for years to come. WaterTectonics recently completed a lagoon restoration project on Moloka’i, removing decades of accumulated sediment and helping restore lagoon functionality while working within the unique environmental and logistical constraints of Hawaii.

Another shipment heading out the door! Our manufacturing team recently completed & shipped 3 insulated, containerized reverse osmosis (RO) treatment systems. Designed to support critical water infrastructure, these insulated containerized RO systems provide a compact, transportable solution for reliable treatment in demanding operating environments. Great work by our manufacturing team for their continued commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and delivering custom-engineered water treatment solutions!

Building along one of the Pacific Northwest's most closely regulated waterways requires more than construction expertise; it requires reliable water treatment.

For one industrial redevelopment project along the Duwamish Waterway, construction activities required advanced stormwater and groundwater treatment to support work in one of the region’s most environmentally sensitive and closely regulated areas.

WaterTectonics deployed multiple electrocoagulation (EC) treatment systems ranging from 150–800 GPM, paired with granular activated carbon (GAC), to address turbidity, pH, petroleum hydrocarbons, PAHs, PCBs, VOCs, and dissolved contaminants across a 26 acre site. Our team also provided ongoing water quality analysis and regulatory reporting to help maintain compliance throughout construction.

From flexible equipment deployment to high-capacity treatment and compliance support, WaterTectonics helps keep critical projects moving forward while maintaining regulatory requirements and keeping construction on schedule.

Pono does an excellent job describing why industry collaboration matters and how organizations like WEF help connect local communities with the broader water sector. WaterTectonics will be attending the upcoming Battelle Chlorinated Conference, taking place May 31 – June 4 in Fort Worth, Texas. Research Manager Bryan Nielsen and Director of Innovation Thomas Igou, Ph.D. will be representing WaterTectonics at this year’s event. Dr. Igou will also serve as lead presenter for Abstract #328: “The Minus Approach” to Remediating PFAS in Drinking and Wastewater Sites.” Co-developed with Minus Filtration, the session will highlight emerging membrane innovation alongside WaterTectonics’ PFAS pilot treatment capabilities and ongoing work supporting PFAS remediation applications. We look forward to connecting with others in the environmental remediation community throughout the week in Fort Worth.

Today’s spotlight features Austin wrapping up hydraulic assembly on a skid for a containerized pilot system headed to a mining application in Montana. From fabrication through final assembly, it’s always great to see another custom system coming together in the shop.

A little lunchtime appreciation for the team today! 🌭 Employees enjoyed a catered hot dog & sausage lunch (with all the fixings) from Dante's Inferno Dogs, followed by a quick company update and safety program brief. We’ve had Dante out to the office a few times over the years, and it’s always something the team looks forward to. (The Seattle Dog continues to be a crowd favorite!) Always nice to take a break, catch up with coworkers, and enjoy some great food together.
