Bic Intensity Permanent Marker and white stake labels work for me for multiple years without fading very much.



When I dig up the tubers in the fall, I place the white stake in the tuber burlap bag together for storage and identification.

Growing dahlias in Zone 8a, Washington state, in the Mount Baker Foothills can be a challenge with the short growing season for my location.

Allen's Cabin Fever produced many blooms which lasted for a long time on the plant. A semi cactus, with yellow to coral colored 4" blooms, it held up well against rain, wind, insects and another plague of the northwest, the dreaded powdery mildew.
It grew about 4 feet tall in my raised bed and made it to my "Grow it Again" list.

I started them in ziplock bags in February, and moved them to soil and biodegradable bags when they started showing shoots.

Mixed alfalfa pellets, blood meal, and slow release fertilizer in the holes before planting.

Can't wait for the show!
