Over 1,100 lbs of Alluvial pork have made their way to East Whatcom County residents through this collaboration—part of a meaningful effort to expand access to locally raised, high-quality protein. New life on the farm - healthy piglets on the ground and doing great. We try to schedule breeding so there’s a pause in farrowing during December/January, avoiding what can be colder months. Not much cold this year, with spring feeling a bit closer than normal.

Grateful for strong sows and the rhythm of life. 🐽

Mud is real during the PNW winter and hogs can be hard on the ground. In order to help mitigate the mud, Alluvial brings in large volumes of shavings to serve as the base for housing, feed/water stations. This helps keep the animals on high ground and serves as fertility for next years crops.

Spring Time Farm and Vertical Fog Farm teamed up with us to not only cultivate some acreage on the farm and utilize our greenhouse but they also offer their delicious products at the farmstand here.

The taste is cosmic! Join Us September 20th and 21st from 11am - 4pm for U-Pick grapes. 🍇

Did you know we also grow grapes on the farm? It’s a carryover from Matthew’s time at Cloud Mountain. A variety out of the Arkansas breeding program named ‘Jupiter’ that’s red, seedless with a taste that is out of this world sweet.

We are excited to see you on the farm and share this crop with you!

This event provides the opportunity to gather and meet the folks that grow and raise food from across the county. Come join us and learn more about how us and other local farmers get food from farm to plate.
