Selah Acres Farm This is our homestead, which happens to be an alpaca farm, event venue as well as a place of lodging.

A 31 acre farm that is nestled at the base of Johnson Mountain, 20 minutes southwest of Lynchburg, VA makes a perfect place for individuals, small group meetings or solitude retreats. We are 45minutes from the Roanoke airport, 15 minutes from Lynchburg Airport. This venue is also perfect for weddings, church staff retreats and meetings or solitude retreats. st for daily or overnite guests. This is a great film location as well (we have had 4 short films and once commercial done here already!) We major on anonymity, so it is a wonderful place to escape the rigors of your life, if only for a time! The only people who will know where you have been are the ones YOU have told!

Once a year our Alpacas get their annual "haircut". This removes all the fleece that kept them warm to enable them to thrive in summer's heat AND provide so many with AMAZING fiber to make socks, hats, gloves, scarves, clothes and so much more. They don't like the process, but when they are finally "naked", the gleefully jump and prance around the pasture like little kids! Time to process some fiber!

Alpaca Fleece & Fiber lovers! We are the "have it your way" people for the Alpaca Fiber lovers! Ebay and On-line Fleece purchasing can be sketchy at best. Come visit and see the fleeces for sale. From a "Raw" fleece, to finished batting ready for dizzing and spinning - like I said, "have it your way" :)

Things are starting to get even more interesting here at Selah Acres!
While we have sold Raw Blankets of fleece from our herd before, we just made our first sale of fiber batting that was processed (skirted, washed, picked and carded!) right here at our farm using the fleece from our Alpacas!
We also had our first customer renting time in our fiber "studio" (which includes skirting table, picker box, drum carder and the latest Dreaming Robots E-Spinner, and all necessary tools).
It's been delightful learning to process our fiber, but helping others along their journey as well is so ridiculously satisfying. To watch their "littles" enjoy this time and learning opportunity - well that's just icing on the cake!
