The countdown is on for Vines of Freedom: A Tribute to 250 Years of the Red, White, and Blue at Shamrock Hills!
Join us this Saturday, June 27, for a patriotic summer night in the hills with live music, fireworks, wine, food, and plenty of red, white, and blue.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m. with Butter & Honey opening the evening, followed by KC Rukus Band bringing the energy to the stage.
KC Rukus has roots dating back to the late 1980s, when founding member Russell Niccum, also known as Rustifer, began performing and opening for major acts throughout the Midwest. Over the years, the band has built a reputation for bringing big sound, strong musicianship, and an electrifying live show to every performance.
Today’s KC Rukus lineup features Rustifer Niccum on vocals and guitar, Big Dave Taylor on saxophone and vocals, John Jones on bass guitar and vocals, and Buster Lee on drums and backing vocals. Since joining the band in late 2022, Big Dave Taylor’s saxophone has become a defining part of the KC Rukus sound, adding energy, soul, and a little extra fire to the stage.
One of the things that makes KC Rukus stand out is their commitment to keeping the show fresh. The band is always learning new material based on audience requests, creating a wide-ranging setlist that can move from Classic Rock to Jazz and plenty in between.
We’ll end the night with a fireworks tribute to America’s pre-250th birthday.
Tickets are $15 per person, and children 10 and under attend free with an adult.
Bring your lawn chairs, gather your friends and family, and get ready for a night to remember.
