Summer’s wrapping up… and what a ride it’s been!

Plenty of sunshine, ample rain fall, swimming pools, vacations, and yes — cow shows.

Now the kids are headed back to school, the spring cows are preg-checked, fall calving is about to fire off, and weaning time is kicking into gear.

Fall has always been one of our favorite times at Shoal Creek — leaves changing, football and that cool morning air.

This year it’s even better… because sale prep for the Gathering at Shoal Creek is officially underway! Follow along as we share dates and all the good offerings coming your way. It’s gonna be the best one yet!

Fall Calving Season is here! 🍂🐄

Took advantage of these cooler temps to get scour shots done and inventory all our Fall Calving Females.

We put a lot of thought in to keeping the highest health standards in the cow herd — anything we can do upfront to reduce issues later is time and money well spent.

What’s your go-to pre-calving regimen? Drop it in the comments — always looking to learn from other producers! 👇

We want to congratulate Cooper Lacy on his Reserve Division Winner with his Bred-and-Owned heifer at Red Angus Jr Nationals.

This heifer is a daughter of his Franchise x Windsong 0269 female. She was a past purchase at The Gathering at Shoal Creek!

We had the privilege of welcoming new friends from Ecuador to the farm this week. In town for the World Cup, they were eager to tour our operation...
As fellow cattle producers, they enjoyed viewing our donor cows and herd
I sires while learning
about our cattle-raising practices in Missouri.
It's always a pleasure to share knowledge and connect with other cattlemen from around the world.
