~ UPDATE! (9/1/2025 10pm) We have received an abundance of applications and interviews that we will need to consider before replying to more messages. BUT we might still be looking for 1 more full time milker who could consistently milk (Whether you need housing or not.). Our ideal milking candidate is someone who really loves working with cattle and milking and is looking for a long term position with our farm. Ideally with a background in farming.

Work opportunity with housing:
I have been posting this on all of the Workamper Facebook groups and realized I should be posting on my own profiles too!

I own bewholeagainfarm.com in Excelsior Springs, MO. We have full trailer hook ups if you have your own trailer, or we have other on-farm housing available of our own. (Including 2 large trailers).

We raise 100% grass-fed raw milk and also sell other products from other farms. We do deliveries to the greater Kansas City area 5 days a week.

Depending on if someone has their own trailer or needs to stay in our housing, we are thinking the first 10-12 hours per week would cover housing. Then extra hours paid at $15/hour during training, up to $18/hour once fully trained. (W-2) We have a washer dryer you can use. You provide your own propane.

We need help with milking, making yogurt and kefir, packing orders for the delivery driver to take on the delivery, deliveries on Saturdays, feeding calves, and rotationally grazing cows.

If you have construction/maintenance, bookkeeping/payroll or marketing experience, we can put those skills to use as well.

This is a year round opportunity, and we would love to find people who want to stick around for a while. Openings available immediately.

We are selling our 17 month old Hyline Brown laying hens. We replace our hens every 18 months with new chickens and our pullets we have been raising are now starting to lay, so we need to sell off the older hens, which are still laying really well. I am getting about 65% production right now, which is close to the historical average for this breed.
These girls have been raised on a non-GMO layer ration and are cage-free, pasture raised at Be Whole Again Farms in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

Our little diva hens are taking a well-deserved break! 💁‍♀️

Right now, the flock is going through a full molt—a process where they shed old feathers and grow in new ones. While they focus on their feather glow-up, egg production slows down—but don’t worry, they’ll be back to laying in full force over the next few weeks. (Sometimes it can take up to 12 weeks for their feathers to come in enough for their energy to go into laying eggs again instead of all their energy going towards creating new feathers.)

Thanks for being patient with our molting ladies as they strut through their feathery makeover! 🐓✨

Hours: 5:30 AM – 11:30 AM (Up to 7 days per week, but we are especially in need of someone to help on Sundays)

Responsibilities:

Milk cows efficiently and safely, ensuring proper handling techniques

Monitor cow health and report any concerns (injuries, mastitis, changes in behavior, etc.)

Properly clean and sanitize milking equipment, stalls, and work areas

Assist with feeding and general animal care as needed

We finally have all of our dogs fixed, but before Zola had her surgery, the neighbor dog broke off his chain and paid her a visit. We have 3 remaining puppies that need a good home.

Puppies were born on: September 11, 2024.

Re-homing fee of $35 to cover their vaccination shots, deworming, etc.

2 Females, 1 Male.

The Puppies are currently being raised with 600 chickens and surrounded by 30 cows.

The Puppies mother is a working Livestock Guardian dog, "Zola"
Zola the Mother is 50% Border Collie, 25% Great Pyrenees, 25% Australian Shepherd

The Father is the neighbor's dog that broke off his chain: 46% Labrador Retriever, 29% Cane Corso, 10% Boxer, & 8% Mastiff. See the Pictures for what the Dad looks like.

2. Please make sure your dishwasher isn't baking crud in your milk jars on accident :-).

We wash and sanitize all jars in our commercial dish washer by running each jar through TWICE and finishing with high temp rinse. But if your dishwasher has baked crud into the jar during the dry cycle, sometimes it doesn't come out without manually scrubbing.

We try to catch all of these jars before they go out on a delivery, but recently we have been having a few slip through the cracks.

When you pick up your milk, please check your jar before you leave the milk pickup to ensure the jar is clean so you don't get home with a dirty jar on accident.

3. Make sure you bring an ice chest or insulated bag and ice packs to pickup your milk so your milk doesn't get warm in your car--especially if you are going Christmas shopping afterward.

I have 9 A2A2 100% grass-fed cows currently in milk, and 3 bred A2A2 heifers available in Excelsior Springs, MO (just north of Kansas City. (I also have a few A2A2 bulls, but haven't gotten them listed on the spreadsheet yet.)

To make it simple to see all pertinent information for all cows at the same time to compare and contrast, I created this spreadsheet. (Prices, last calving date, next due date, breed, current milk volume, vaccine history, teat size, etc. There are links to google photos folders for each cow as well.)
