Harvest is getting closer, and the vineyard is starting to ask for all hands. 🍇

Late summer is when the grapes shift from simply growing to ripening, sugars rise, acidity changes, and every warm day matters.

Our first harvest of the season is Sunday, August 30!

Harvest is one of the most meaningful mornings of the year at Fence Stile. It is when the work of the season becomes real: grape clusters coming in from the rows, samples being tasted, bins filling, and the next vintage beginning its journey from vineyard to cellar.

As we prepare for harvest, this weekend’s schedule will look a little different: we’ll have only one wine cave tour and free live music on Saturday. It is a beautiful time to understand the vineyard in real time — grape maturity, sampling, ripening, and the decisions that shape harvest.

This is the season when the vineyard asks everyone to pay attention.

This Sunday is the final Acoustic in the Caves performance of the summer. 🍷

Join us at Fence Stile this Sunday, August 23, as **Barry Jones** brings an intimate afternoon of folk, Americana, and acoustic favorites into the wine cave from **2–4 PM**.

The cave setting is intentionally small — just 24 seats — and each ticket includes one beverage, with nonalcoholic options available.

Fence Stile is open today from **3–7 PM**, with Missouri wine, wine cocktails, nibbles, beer, zero-proof options, and a **5:30 PM wine cave tour** on the calendar.

This is the season of paying attention — tasting grapes, watching sugars and acidity, checking skins and seeds, and learning what the vineyard is telling us.
