Cider Hill Ranch Cider Hill Ranch is a 96 acre ranch in Exeter, Maine established in 2020 by Steve and Taylor Batchelder.

We raise grass fed Irish Dexter cattle and forest raised pigs, and we now sell tallow based skincare products!

Both of fields we have left to convert to pasture were disced the other day, so they are just about ready to be planted! So excited to see the cows grazing on this field 🥰 🐮

Steve and I performed artificial insemination (the other AI in our world 😅) on one of our Tamworth gilts to a Tamworth boar a couple weeks ago. We are excited and anxious to see if Thelma took so we will have our first litter of piglets born on the ranch 🐷 ❤️ Fingers crossed that she doesn’t come back into heat within the next 7 days! 🤞

I love when the apple blossoms start to come out 🌸 Our ranch and the road we are located on was named for the abundance of apple trees and the cidery that existed in the past. Steve’s grandfather told us about when there were apple trees and pastures along our road when he was younger. Some of those same apple trees exist today ❤️ We hope to graft some of the trees so we can have some different varieties of apples and keep these trees producing for years to come 🍎
