It is a sad day here at North Hill Farm as we grieve the sudden loss of Small Talk (reg Diedinka)- AKA Zooey, Zooey Smalls, Smalls-and her unborn foal by Light My Fire.
She was a mare with a unique personality but those that spent time with her grew to love her. Ever the spoiled show horse, she had opinions about a great many things and didn’t hesitate to express them. But under it all she was a kind mare and gave us 3 lovely babies in her time here. We were eagerly anticipating her 4th in just a few months.
Breeding is NOT for the faint of heart- or those that want their hearts to remain whole.

We are T-minus 10 days to George being admitted to start first the clinical trial he is participating in, then the next round of chemo, and finally the stem cell transplant. The road to recovery after will be long.
I never thought I’d do this but I NEED to reduce numbers…NY winter is rapidly approaching…and this sweet, easygoing girl has not found her person. Plain brown yearling filly…nobody wants one… but she is going to blossom, trust me!

"Flo" might not have gotten her daddy's spots but she has such a fun personality and boy can this girl move! She has a floaty, flat kneed trot and her canter is equally as good. She will make a superb partner for the amateur hunter rider.
