January can be tough depending on the weather. This year (and everyday) I’m thankful for my wife for helping me with feeding Payton Loyd. To give everyone background. Me and my wife both work in health care, she is a PT working in inpatient care at Mercy hospital. I work as an Athletic Trainer in outpatient rehabilitation and performance. We both have a full time job plus trying to take care of a generational farm. We are jumping in to the registered side of the angus breed. If you would have told me 10 years ago I would be raising livestock I would have laughed. It’s funny how life works. God seems to have plans we don’t understand and our only job is to follow him. I would be mistaken to not give thanks to my great grandparents and my grandfather who laid the foundation for this to happen. We are thankful that god continues to sustain us so we can be stewards of his land. Here’s to another year trying to improve facilities, feeding operations and improve our genetics. Follow along this journey. We are nobody’s in the angus world but we are going to continue to strive to do our best and raise the best angus genetics we can. I also want to say thank you to Hunter Angus, Jordan, Clint, Rachel, and Cash for helping us decide to do this and get started. Truly, thank you.
