Garretson  Forge & Farm Restoration Garretson Farm is a living history farm and one of the oldest Dutch Colonial sites in Bergen County, a NJ suburb of NYC. The farm is in Fair Lawn.

We are celebrating 300 years in 2019. The homestead is closed for the winter and will be open in spring with Built in 1719, Garretson Forge and Farm is one of the oldest sites in Bergen County. This pre-revolutionary sandstone house is listed on the New Jersey State and United States National Register of Historic Places. Located at 4-02 River Road, Fair Lawn, this living Dutch farm sponsors activi

ties involving restoration, preservation, historic digs, compilation of local history and folklore, educational programming, colonial agriculture, organic and sustainable farming, horticulture and crafts. Garretson Farm is owned by Bergen County and is administered by volunteers of the Garreston Forge and Farm Restoration, Inc.
