Just think… ET Barnette & his wife were dropped off here exactly 125 years ago today. I hear his wife started crying when she stepped ashore off of the SS Lavelle Young. Good reason to celebrate! Not because of Isabelle Cleary Barnette’s sadness, but because they established our golden heart of the Interior community. Yes, it really is National Potato Day. Stop by the distillery to celebrate potatoes and what we do to them. Or, you can go over to our local Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge and see where our potatoes are grown. Rest assured that you can celebrate Nat’l Potato Day on our deck downtown (410 Cushman St) or on the Princess deck along the mighty Chena River. We’re open W-F 4-8:30pm & Sat noon-8:30 pm. If you don’t “Save It For The Shore” over the 4th of July weekend, you might have one of these aircraft looking for you and your passengers and you (and they) don’t want that. Fairbanks Distilling Company is on the shore and so is your home or camping spot, so celebrate our 250th Birthday responsibly. On the 4th, we’ll be making the Red Rum & Blue cocktail.
