About Us
Andrew and I moved up here separately and under different circumstances. He took a job out of college and I was relocated with the military. One of the things that brought us together was our love of this land and utilizing and exploring its wide open spaces. Together, we started learning and teaching each other: how to raise chickens for eggs (turns out you can’t just throw food at them and expect them to be happy!), how to raise chickens for meat, how to forage in our yard and make jellies and jams from the findings, how to garden…we’re still learning and loving it.
As I tend to, I decided to take things a step further. Using my sister as inspiration, I want to open a hydroponics farm here in Fairbanks, selling vegetables and herbs, year round. I love our little town, and I want to give my fellow food lovers easy access to fresh, nutritious vegetables. I want to ensure that, when there’s a snowstorm and the shelves at the local grocery store are bare, people can still eat-us included!
