Happy Wife Acres was conceived in the fall of 2016 by Andrea and John Hancock. Andrea and John were new to their property, and decided to add chickens for farm fresh eggs. They knew nothing about chickens and thought of them only as an egg source. The flock started with 9 chicks, and has steadily grown to over 300. They have also added ducks, guineas, rabbits, quail, and bees. They plant a large g

arden in the summer, and harvest fruit. With each addition, their farming knowledge increased. Today, Andrea and John are both retired from their professional lives and devote their days to operating the farm and sharing their knowledge with others. Happy Wife Acres operates much in the same way as our ancestors did, growing and processing sustainable food while working with nature. The Happy Wife Acres name itself was chosen to convey the message that a happy farm produces better tasting and healthy food. Happy Wife Acres is an educational homestead, teaching the world how to be raise and process their own food. "I love wine!"

Is this you? Have you ever thought about making your own wine? You might think that it's an intense process that will consume all the time you set aside to drink wine. It is not.

Wine making is actually very easy, inexpensive, and it waits for you. You can make wine in a few weeks, or a few months. And for the cost of a few bottles of decent wine, you can buy all the equipment you need to make every flavor imaginable. Cherry, grape, raspberry, mulberry, peach, apple, elderberry, pineapple, and so many more.

Want to learn how? Join us for our Wine Making class on Saturday, 13 June at 1pm. This isn't a slide show. It's a hands on demonstration. We will condense a month-long process into a couple of hours. Then taste the final result. We'll be making elderberry wine, but we'll have other flavors to taste as well.

Let's make and sample some delicious wine! Register at
