Did you know “dirty” hatching eggs are often better than washed ones? 🐣

Freshly laid eggs have a natural protective coating called the bloom that helps seal out bacteria and hold in moisture during incubation. When hatching eggs are heavily washed, that protective layer can be removed, which may impact hatch rates.

That’s why we do our best to give you the cleanest hatching eggs that still have their natural bloom intact rather than eggs that have been scrubbed perfectly clean. Nature usually knows best. 🌾
