🏆Humbled and Grateful🏆

The Nebraska State Fair is always a special time for our family, and I just don't know how we're going to beat 2026. You always second guess taking 7-8 pigs to such a large show (maybe that's just me), but we're so happy we emptied out the barn one final time. It was also great to see our customers have great success as well.

A massive "Thank You" goes out to our family, our show family, friends, and customers. This thing is about so much more than winning banners, and we simply could not do what we do without all of your love, advice, guidance, words of encouragement, and overall support.

💥Holly Has a New Owner💥

Another big "Thank You" goes out to Dr. Kirby Joy and his family for their purchase of our Champion Tamworth Gilt at the 2026 National Barrow Show. Kirby has been a long-time supporter and mentor to us, and we are pumped Holly is staying close to home. Holly's mother was actually purchased from Dr. Joy last year, and we can't wait to see what this female can do for them.

The Tamworth breed has been surging the past few years, and regularly finds itself at the top end of many purebred shows. Our Tamworth herd might be small, but if you're interested in getting ahold of a high quality one with countless banners found on both sides of the pedigree, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Zoey’s Headed to Ohio!

A massive “Thank You” to the Sharrett Family Farms Genetics and Mike Garner on their purchase of “Zoey”, our Reserve Champion Hampshire gilt from the 2026 National Barrow Show. I also want to thank all of the contending bidders and everyone who stopped by to take a look at her. We have been truly humbled by all of the compliments on her, and we simply can’t wait to see how she performs in Ohio.

Pig breeders both young and old will tell you that the power is always found on the bottom side of the pedigree. Over the past several years we have spent a considerable amount of time working to build a sow herd that consistently gives folks the best chance at a banner and backdrop photo as we can. “Zoey” and the rest of her highly successful litter is a terrific example of what we’re looking to build here at Dux Showpigs.

Thank you again to the Sharrett Family and Mike Garner for putting your faith in our program here in Southeast Nebraska!

💥Another Banner Day for Zoey💥

2026 National Barrow Show
🏅Reserve Champion Hampshire Gilt🏅

Core Power (Shaffer's Goldrush) x Heaven Can Wait (Baade Genetics)
Bred By: Dux Showpigs

Zoey had a wonderful last outing as a show gilt up in Austin. This gilt has done nothing but get better each and every day she’s been on feed at our place. It’s tough to let a gilt like this go, but we have the utmost confidence in her ability to move the next generation of Hampshires forward.

Just like the Champion Tamworth, this gilt will be available at CCI.live or in person at the sale starting at 3pm Central up here in Austin, MN.

🏆Champion Tamworth Gilt🏆

Holly
Dynasty 92-2 (Shaffer's Goldrush) x See Me Now (Our foundation female who was Res. Nebraska Swine Circuit Tamworth Breeding Gilt Overall Points and Res. Champion Tamworth at the 2025 Nebraska State Fair Open and 4-H Shows)

Our Tamworth gilt Holly ended her show career on a roll and topped it off with Champion Tamworth gilt honors up in Austin, MN. This follows her Champion Tamworth Breeding Gilt honors at the highly competitive 2026 Nebraska State Fair FFA show. I’ve always had a feeling this late maturing Tam’s best days were going to be at the end of her show career, but we’ve been humbled by how strong she came on.

If you’re looking for a true foundation female who is impeccable in her overall design, look in at the sale later today up here in Austin. You can bid online at CCI.live. Please reach out to Jordan Dux with any questions at 402-450-3555.

🏆Another Nebraska State Fair Champion Headed to Austin, MN🏆

We posted a video of "Zoey" the other day not knowing she'd have an absolutely stellar Nebraska State Fair. This gilt is a great example of always keeping your end goal in mind when it comes to showpigs. Time and time again, I told our girls to just be patient as this gilt's best days were going to be when she hit over 300lbs, and she has definitely lived up to that Hampshire trait.

The mother of this gilt came from our friends at Baade Genetics, and her first litter hit it out of the park! We'll get the backdrop pictures posted soon, but Zoey's littermate brother "Frank" was just named the Champion Hampshire Market Barrow at the Nebraska State Fair's FFA Show, and her littermate sister was crowned Reserve Champion Hampshire Market Hog at the State Fair's Open Jackpot Show and Champion in the All Other Breeds class at the Nebraska Swine Futurity Show annually held at the State Fair as well.

We're really excited to offer this gilt and see what she can do in the crate. If you're in the market for an outstanding Hampshire foundation female, please look this gilt up in Austin at the NBS.

💥Nebraska State Fair Update💥

“Blessed” is really the only word I can use to describe how we feel after an unbelievable Nebraska State Fair!

We will post all of the official backdrop photos and more State Fair winners soon, but I wanted to get a few posts up on a pair of gilts that will head to Austin, MN for the National Barrow Show later this week. As Judge Kane Austin said, we “not messin’ around” when it comes to the quality of this Tamworth female.

“Holly”
(Dynasty 92-2 (Shaffer's Goldrush) x See Me Now)

The mother of Holly is “Maple”, our highly decorated Tamworth from last year whose wins included being named the Reserve Champion Tamworth Breeding gilt at the Nebraska State Fair’s Open and 4-H shows. It is really hard to let this one go, but this gilt has nothing but potential for her next owner.
