Over Memorial Day Weekend, Callville Bay Marina hosted its first Kids Casting Contest on Lake Mead, selling out all 100 spots for young anglers ages 5 to 15.

"Led by Kim Roundtree, General Manager, the rest of the Callville team, volunteers, and donors hosted the 1st Annual Kids Casting event that will inspire a new generation to embrace lake life and conservation," said Chad Taylor, Director of Operations.

The event closed with a raffle valued at more than $5,000, with every dollar directed toward youth lifejackets in partnership with Get Outdoors Nevada, an investment in both safety and the next generation of outdoor stewards.

Today marks National Park Service Founders Day. On August 25, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson established the National Park Service to protect and share America's most treasured landscapes.

Guest Services has had the honor of operating as a concessionaire within that system for decades, from Mount Rainier to Flamingo in the Everglades to Lake Roosevelt, helping welcome millions of guests to places that belong to all of us. Caring for these lands, and the people who visit them, is at the heart of what we do.
