Season update:
We gathered enough sap yesterday to fire up the evaporator

This allows us to test all of our equipment and fill the evaporator with sap.

No maple syrup was made- but it is only a matter of days until our first run maple syrup is made and available for shipping.

Our First Run maple syrup is available in limited quantities and now ready for pre order on our website!

All 2,000 taps are in for the year!

This winter seems to be keeping a firm grip on Vermont this year. But we are ready for when it does thaw out. The snow is deep in the woods. But it will be much deeper after tomorrow snowstorm.

We will once again sell our First Run maple syrup this year. So standby for when that is available sometime in early March.

It is that time of year!
In only a couple weeks we will be tapping our trees.

But before the trees are tapped all 2,000 spouts are replaced with fresh new spouts.

And every inch of the thousands of feet of tubing is inspected for damage.

The squirrels love chewing the plastic tubing, and those little holes they create will cause a significant loss of sap harvest.

These repairs are crucial to our maple harvest as the sugaring season is so short.
