Jefferson County Sawdust Showdown Jackpot Show The 2021 show will host competitions for lambs and meat goats.

The Jefferson County Showdown Jackpot Show is an open livestock show for all youth ages 21 and under held annually at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Fairfield, Iowa.

Thanks for all of the words of encouragement. I would have never been able to pull it off without those who voluntarily showed up to help and knew better what to do than I: Shelby Reck, Shelley Moothart , Vivian Buie, Mark Geohring, and John Pact. Also, the Jefferson County Fairboard went above and beyond to help make the show happen. Finally, I would like to thank Danielle Funk for being an efficient judge and answering my call Thursday evening to cover with short notice.

I have great news! After tabulating the income and expenses from the show, I'm relieved to let you know that the payout for the first three places in each class will be coming in the mail. I did reach breakeven! I appreciate all who have had kind words and understanding of my situation as all expenses were paid out of my personal pocket. Once again I apologize to those who were traumatized by the late announcement of not receiving the payout. The $200 that was profited at the show will go to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds as this was intended as a fundraiser for them. Unfortunately we were unable to pay out top three in each class do to not meeting the minimum participation for breakeven. I sincerely apologize for being unable to meet this obligation and I appreciate all participants who came to the show today.
