Folks - I will not be at market today. I was hoping there’d be enough tulips left to stretch into and for this Mother’s Day weekend - but we have reached the end of our spring tulip season 😩

I was definitely reluctant to get back to it in March and April - as my work with flowers is so deeply aligned and imbibed with my mother’s spirit - and my grief over her loss ebbs and flows like a distant but possibly impending storm on the horizon.

But I was *nurtured* by the delight so so many of you have shown me this spring through our shared love of flowers -

So thank you, thank you, thank you!!! For showin this gal a good time throughout this season!!! Thank you CSA subscribers for your early-bird love - I hope you enjoyed your subscriptions!! Thank you for hosting our pop-ups and to alllllll the visitors and vendors who show up!!

The collective joy has been like communion for me

Folks - not gonna lie - I am tired. My back is lil achey from the crazy amounts of tulips I’ve processed over the past couple of days for tomorrow’s first outdoor

But it’s delightfully worth it!! It’s the 4th and final week of the Spring CSA and I’ll have A LOT of tulips including some colors and textures you cannot get at TJs or big box stores - which have great floral selections for cheap - but are like an hour away.

Every time you buy something from a local farmer who brings goods to the market they’ve produced - you’re supporting and stimulating your local economy!! That’s money spent in our community that gets circulated locally!! Plus it reduces carbon emissions bc you’re not buying products brought in by planes, trains and automobiles!!

So again for the new ppl and cats and pups in the back - I’ll be at the market fresh and ready with a boatload of tulips at 8 am to 1 pm tomorrow!!

Popping-up early at Wednesday morning at 8:30 am!! That’s tomorrow!!

Our selections move into more dramatic colors as we near the end of our season - like these bright striped parrots above!

But we’ll have a lil of the sweet pastel palette colors tomorrow am too!!

Saturday you better come up to the first outdoor at Howard Park of the season!! 8 am to 1 pm!!

We’re bringing alllll the colors for you!!

Aaaaaand it’s the final week of our Spring CSA

So for the love of flowers - come through and say hi tomorrow at the bakery and Saturday at the market!!

Apologies for the lack of posting - but with all these lovely tulips coming up I have been *hustling* to get everything ready for CSAs, Saturday market and Wednesday pop-up flower shops around town!!

Whaaat? Pop-up flower shops?!? Yesss!!! I’ve been visiting all the fun places around town like the and the past couple Wednesdays and set-up to bring you allll the delicious blooms at fire sale prices!!

It has been so sweet to share support with all our divine local businesses we have in our lil community!!

Next Saturday, May 6, will be the first day of outdoors at Howard Park - and the last day of our Spring CSA. We’ll have a dramatic selection of moody blossoms and then…well it’s hard to say if the weather and the tulips in the ground will conspire to offer flowers for Mother’s Day or not- so stay tuned as we await the arrival of the peonies!!

But until then, we’ll have a pop-up Wednesday, May 3, at in the morning - so set a reminder NOW to come through!! Come grab a cup of coffee and a baked good and some flowers!!

And then we’ll do at least the first market outside…but after these spring beauties are done - you’ll not see us for a lil bit - so come see me while you can!!

Hellllllloooo flower lovers - I know it’s been a long time and so much has happened since last summer!!

But we thought, now that the red-winged blackbirds and turkey buzzards are reappearing - so should we…

Fall and winter were weird. As soon as we finished planting thousands of bulbs and started settling in for a rest, my mother passed away. She was my inspiration for all growth, including the farm, and I have spent these last few months quietly sifting through memories and feelings of such a huge force in my life leaving this earthly plain

But my grief is punctuated by the hints of spring and rebirth is now on my mind

Along with the birds of spring come the buds, because, well, change is inevitable, and therefore, so is growth

So, at the threshold between seasons I have found a sure-footed path forward into the next phases of life:

Firstly, the website has been rebuilt and the shop for the 2023 Spring CSA will be up shortly. So for the time being, please pop over and check it out. And if you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, you may do so there and then

Secondly, this year we will only be at farmers market and offering a CSA for Spring only. HOWEVER - this will enable us to dedicate the summer season to organizing the farm to make it more efficient to our growing needs and return with what we hope to be a blockbuster growing season in 2024

You all have been just great and incredibly supportive of all of our efforts to bring you the best locally grown blooms and we thank you and deeply appreciate your attention and consideration for the beauty in flowers

Stay tuned for info about our upcoming CSA sale and when we’ll be at the market in April and May!!

Fall is falling!! It’s about that time when everything is about done for the season.
