So back in the winter my son and I took bud wood from the orchard and prepped them for a project. We have 2 great varieties in the orchard, but are hard to keep the summer diseases out and so a very good friend to me introduced me to a new idea called top grafting. So I would take out 10 trees and use them. So we put the idea to work and so far we have 95% success. Sometimes you just got to have a little faith.

Today with the help from Grant we took the first steps to something different this spring. We have 2 apple varieties in the orchard that we will be top grafting. We have to get the bud wood ready and prepped for 2 new varieties this April.
