Today is National Learn About Composting Day, so we thought we’d share a few compost-related Bigelow fun facts:

♻️ All Bigelow tea bags are biodegradable, compostable, and contain no plastic
♻️ Bigelow Tea has maintained Zero-Waste-to-Landfill facilities since 2012
♻️ This means, we divert at least 95% of our waste through composting, recycling, and reuse programs
♻️ Bigelow employees complete regular waste-sorting trivia to help keep sustainability top of mind, always
♻️ This year, our Connecticut employees participated in “Trash Madness,” a fun zero-waste challenge focused on improving trash sorting skills

We had a great day hosting the Stop & Shop team at our Bigelow Tea HQ in Fairfield, Connecticut last week! 🍵

The team toured our manufacturing facility and participated in a special tea education with our President and CEO, Cindi Bigelow, learning more about our products, process, and passion for tea. We loved sharing the Bigelow story and spending the day together! 🍵

"As Memorial Day approaches, it is so important to remember the men and women of our armed forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and selflessness must never be forgotten.

I know that all of us at Bigelow Tea are incredibly grateful to the families who have carried the weight of that sacrifice and had to deal with unimaginable heartbreak. Today is also about honoring these families as well.

So, this weekend, please know that the entire Bigelow family wishes you and your family moments of true togetherness. This is the time to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy each day, freedoms that were hard-won and should never be taken for granted."
