Fall is here, and as the seasons change so are some things at The Nook.
Starting this Sunday
Monday-Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 8am - 2pm
Friday & Saturday: 6am-2pm
and Sunday: 8am-2pm
NO MORE PIZZA!
We have decided to step away from pizza for a few months. So this will be the last weekend Pizza will be available for the foreseeable future. Pizza kept us alive through the influx of million dollar, drive thru coffee shops that moved in within a mile of our location. We absolutely love our Pizza and are very proud of it but it is not selling enough to justify the evening hours anymore.
I am NOT saying Pizza will be gone forever but I am saying that maybe a dedicated Pizza spot in a different building might be something that is considered at some point.
A STEP BACK TO LEAP FORWARD!!!
The Nook's evolving over the next couple months. All of it — for the better. This is a very exciting and anxious time for us but we are learning where to put our attention by looking at the previous two years of business (since the influx of the millionaires club coming in and dominating the coffee space)
BREAKFAST SANDWICHES
With the removal of the Pizza I think I would like to focus on more breakfast sandwich options. I would like to add Roasted Ham off the Bone with an espresso (red eye) glaze to the sandwich meat roster as well as a BBQ brisket breakfast sandwich with a Roasted Garlic Gochujang Aioli.
(We did a sandwich called the Smokehouse Brown years back, I would like to make that a breakfast special at some point)
DONUTS
We are in discussions of putting donuts in the case every day as we do get a lot of requests for them and the coffee rolls during the week.
DRINKS
Drinks will stay largely the same as I feel our drink menu is large enough.
A bunch of stupid little things that need to be done with the shop. She is 10 years old and she needs some updating.
We will have a major announcement in a week or so which will be some very exciting and overdue news from the Nook.

SOAPBOX STANDING
I implore you to please support small businesses. The Rescue Cafe is a wonderful little shop in Fairhaven that you should visit. If you are in Fall River, Christopher's is a fantastic place to go. The Phoenix Restaurant in Fairhaven is one of my favorite places to go for an amazing breakfast sandwich.
I completely understand that sometimes big drive thru places are easy… and I understand sometimes you need a quick coffee fix… There's no shame in that. But remember the little guys in your town. When you give your business to us, The Phoenix, Christophers or the Rescue Cafe that money goes back into the community not into some corporations pocket.
We came very close to closing the last two years… we have hung on through a firestorm of obstacles within that time-frame.
We don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon!
We will be going back to everyday business in April… until then know you are loved, know that every GOOD thing that's about to happen here is because of your support and involvement in the dream of two fools that decided a cup of coffee wasn't enough. Know that we thank the heavens for you all everyday.

While I know a lot of you will be upset about the pizza, just know that it isn't gone forever. We might do specials here and there.
