Unfortunately we did not find any shrimp yesterday and we didn’t see much hope in going out today. It looks like we will be enjoying our Fathers Day weekend on land. Happy Father’s Day to all of the Fathers out there. Especially to my father John Gormandy!

Here we go again. It never ends!

This month, the Corps of Engineers released its public notice of maintenance dredging and placement activities.

In this plan, the Corps still lists thin-layer placement as a method to dispose of 4.1 million cubic yards of dredge material every year, primarily into our estuary.

We're not done fighting.

Call Senator Britt and ask her to finish the job by putting language in the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) to end mud dumping for good. 202-224-5744

Heritage Seafood’s boat hit the dock in Fairhope Thursday to a huge line of local seafood lovers. Heritage owner Patrick Gormandy has been finding large numbers of white shrimp in the bay when the weather has cooperated.
